Prehabilitation, or “prehab” for short, is the process of participating in physical therapy before a surgery to help maximize your recovery after the procedure. Commonly used before total joint replacements, this process can also help better prepare you for arthroscopic surgeries such as rotator cuff repairs or hip preservation procedures.
