What Wellness Services Do We Offer?
At The Total Joint, our wellness services focus on promoting overall health, preventing injuries, and improving your overall well-being through physical activity and therapeutic interventions. Our services are tailored to your individual needs and often include a combination of the following:
- Joint Work: Use of our hands to mobilize and/or manipulate the way your joints and muscles work together. This may include soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, stretching, and nerve gliding to improve the way your body moves.
- General Strength and Conditioning: Tailored exercise programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Specific exercises are prescribed based on findings during your initial assessment.
- Sports/Running Evaluations: We will perform analysis of your movement patterns as they relate to your chosen sport. Based on the findings, we will develop a program to improve areas in which you lack motion and/or strength to improve your performance and decrease your injury risk.
- Injury Prevention: Education on proper body mechanics and techniques to reduce the risk of injuries. Assessing and addressing biomechanical issues that may contribute to injury.
- Functional Movement Assessment: Analyzing how you move during daily and/or recreational activities and identifying areas for improvement. Implementing strategies to enhance your functional movement patterns.
- Pain Management: Utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to manage and alleviate pain. Teaching pain management techniques for individuals with chronic conditions.
- Health and Fitness Education: Providing information on the benefits of regular physical activity. Offering guidance on nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle modifications.
Our wellness services are individualized, taking into account your specific health status, goals, and any existing medical conditions. These services can be beneficial for individuals of all ages and abilities, whether they are recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply seeking to improve their overall health and quality of life.
